Session II Cross Border Mediation in Non-Hague Countries

Parents and advocates of children abducted to non-Hague nations or to nations with weak judicial systems have fewer options to pursue their return through courts.  In such cases, mediation may be an option for gaining access and returns.

The session discusses mediation as an option (where possible and appropriate) to resolve abduction cases. It explores existing resources and practical challenges in conducting cross-border mediation in non-Hague countries.
