Alissa E. Hindle and Leo Zagaris

Leo Zagaris was unlawfully retained in Greece by his father after a prearranged visitation for summer vacation. His mother Alissa (Zagaris) Hindle fought for almost two years for his return, even after winning all Hague hearings for the child's return. It took the FBI and the Greek Ministry of Justice’s intervention to finally facilitate his return home to Indiana. Leo is now 18 and has testified before the US Helsinki Commission on International Parental Child Abduction and continues to advocate for the cause as a voice of our children.
